Filter failure and replacement in weigh hopper

The Problem

Dust was leaking from the weigher into the roof void during conveying, creating a hygiene issue and an explosion risk.

The Solution

A phone consultation took place, supported with video and photos of the problem. It was a clear filter failure; the dust unit was identified from our records and filters retrieved from our stock. These were delivered to site the same day by an engineer, fitted and the situation monitored.

The Outcome

The client was able to recommence production within hours of the problem being found on site, minimising down-time.
