Annual servicing for a major site

The Problem

The site, consisting of three silos, three conveying systems, five weigh hoppers and associated equipment was overdue its annual service, calibration and certification.

The Solution

A number of options with differing timescales and scopes of works were offered to the site that picked the most suitable around their production schedule. Silos were cleaned, all filters changed, and blowers, sifters and dehumidifiers serviced. Equipment was calibrated and the magnet checked, with appropriate certification documents issued.

The Outcome

The site was able to maintain a good rate of production throughout the works, which were completed promptly. The equipment was certified meeting its auditing requirements. Some additional rectification work was identified to avoid a future breakdown.
