Minor additions dosing panel

The Problem

A new product line by the client required the addition very small quantities of oil and essence into a dough-bowl from an existing flour weigh frame with extremely high accuracy.

The Solution

Samples and technical data of the two liquids were studied. The panel was designed to bolt-on to the existing weigh frame to reduce costs, and consisted of flow meters and manual and automated valves to control the flow and dosage. This was linked into the PLC and HMI to allow easy control of the system.

The Outcome

The client is successfully producing the new product line to a high level of quality. The measuring and dosing of the additions is automated, keeping the equipment operating procedure simple.
